The first thing that happened when we got inside of our fantastic classroom was that Jack passed out a sheet. I'm not allowed to tell you about it because it's confidential. After that, Mrs. Truby passed out our morning worksheet. It was on long division.

Next, we went to Art and learned about buildings that famous artists made on the Smart Board® in the room next door. We went back to class after that and grabbed our Spanish folders. Then we quickly went to Spanish.

We learned about Spain and many facts about it too. We also watched Joseph and Nicholas' Spanish movie about what they like to do. Joseph likes to play basketball, and Nicholas likes to ride his bike and play football. I thought it was really good, and so did everyone else.

Later everyone went out to recess except for me because of my cough. I stayed inside and read The Invention of Hugo Cabret.
It is a book about a young boy named Hugo who's parents died, and he lived with his uncle who worked the clocks at a train station. His father worked at a museum and found a mechanical man. He drew it and all of its pieces. Hugo's dad died in the museum because it burned down. Later Hugo found it and fixed it using parts he stole from a toy booth. Read this great book to find out what happens next.

When recess was over everyone came back into the classroom. McKenzie said,"You are lucky that you got to stay inside. It was freezing outside!" After everyone came in we started making Christmas haikus. We ran out of time and had to go to lunch. We had ham for hot lunch. Afterwards everyone went to recess, and I went upstairs and read. Evan told me when they got back that they played Montessori in soccer. Then we went to study hall, and I worked on the morning work.

After study hall, band came back and we finished our haikus. Next, Ms. Truby had us write down in our agenda. The reason we had to do it so early is because we had to make it to Music.

Then we rushed all the way to Music and made it in time. We learned the songs "Mele Kaliki Maka," and "Heat Miser/Snow Miser." Afterwards, I asked Mr. Dary if I may play "Silent Night" at our Christmas recital and he told me to bring my guitar to school on Friday morning.

At 3:15 Mrs. Truby came and brought us to the gym for dismissal.

That is what happened today according to Nick.☺☻☺☻
